Features of a Troughed Conveyor Belt System
A trough shaped conveyor system is a belt that forms an actual trough and cradles the product due to conveyor rollers and frames that are designed to for this type of configuration on the top or carry side whilst running back over flat return idler rollers on the return side, both of which can be set in various roller distances and degree formations.
Transverse flexibility or rigidity of the belt is very important with this system. The ‘u’ shaped trough roller frame houses the belt idler and are designed to reduce spillage and allow for reduced risk at higher speeds and angles and increased safety.

Reviewing Your Conveyor Parts
When considering a conveyor belt system repair or replacement to your crusher or screening system you should also consider reviewing your radial or fixed stacker, wear plates in your feed chutes and hoppers, cone and hopper socks. discharge chute lining, polyurethane and rubber skirting, belt cleaners and self-cleaning tail drums, impact beds, head, snub/bend and tail drums, troughed, impact and return roller sets to see if they are also in good working order, for optimal efficiency.
