Profile belts are suitable to be used for conveying various types of materials, ideally suited for mineral processing and general mining applications including fixed plant and mobile stackers, screening, crushing systems.

Profile Features for a Conveyor Belt System
A profile troughed conveyor is a belt that forms an actual trough and cradles the conveyed product, due to conveyor rollers and frames that are designed for this type of configuration. Whilst the belt runs over idler rollers the cleat configuration helps to stop product rolling or slipping back by way of supporting and hunching the material against the profile to move it forward on variable moderate inclines.
Cross belt flexibility or rigidity of the belt is very important with this system. The ‘u’ shaped trough roller frame houses the belt idler and is designed to reduce spillage and allow for reduced risk at higher speeds and increased production and safety.

Reviewing Your Conveyor Parts
When considering your Conveyor Belt System repair or replacement, you should also consider reviewing your wear plates in your feed chutes and hoppers, discharge chute lining, polyurethane and rubber skirting, belt cleaners and self-cleaning tail drums, belt scrapers, hungry boards/skirting systems; head, snub and tail drums, troughed roller sets and impact beds or bars to see if they are also in good working order for optimal efficiency.
