Why Chevron Pattern Conveyor Belts?
Smooth belt inclining conveyors do not have the same ability to convey material as their maximum angle which, is only between 15° ~ 22°. However, steep angle cleated conveyor belts with a profiled surface such as the Chevron pattern belt is able to increase your conveyors loading capacity and manage the load to reach an inclination of 30°and in some cases 40° (conditions dependant).
Durable Profiled Textile Conveyor Belt
All State Conveyors offers a wide range of Chevron Pattern Textile conveyor belts that are comprised of high tensile strength Polyester/Nylon (EP) woven fabric ply carcass, which ensure a low stretch tension member that enables short take-ups.
There are also different cover compounds comprised of polymers and fillers which provide protection to the carcass from abrasion and impact. These covers also come in a wide variety of cover thicknesses to meet your operating situations. ASC will assist you to decide which profile is suitable if necessary.

Designed for Over 22º of Steep-Incline Conveying
Profiled conveyor belts with high slip resistant are ideally suitable when the conveyor’s angle of inclination is no more than 22° as the upper limit. These cleated belts are ideal for light to heavy weight with a steep incline. The chevon patterned belt ideally carries materials such as bulk solids or unit loads, with suggested angles from:
Approx. 30° for slightly rolling materials, such – as gravel, coal etc.
Approx. 40° for sticky materials, such as wet sand, earth etc.
Approx. 25° up to 35° for packages, such as sacks, bales (paper hessian) etc.
Chevron (Profiled) Belts Suitable Applications: Steep-Incline Conveying Tasks
Chevron Pattern Conveyor Belts are used for a wide range of conveyor tasks and suit the following industries such as grain processing‚ sugar refineries, agriculture, cement works, sand‚ rock mining, quarrying and mineral processing, mobile crushers and screens for steep inclines. Cleated belts also increase the amount of granular materials being carried, in heavy duty incline applications.

All State Conveyors provide low to high Chevron Pattern Textile Conveyor Belts with a range of 6mm-50mm height vulcanised profiles with cleated design options including Closed-V, Open-V, Bull Horn and Multi-V profiles in various profile belt widths:
Low Chevron belt widths: 300mm ~ 1800mm wide
High Chevron belt widths: 500mm ~ 1800mm wide
ASC Supply Economical Closed-V and Open-V as Standard Belting
The Open-V is designed to allow for water dissemination when carrying wet materials such as wood chips, fertilisers, sand, quarry materials, minerals, coal. The cleat widths are either full width or narrowed to incorporate skirting rubber which we are able to trim to your preferred width. There are also a number of cleat pitch and belt width variants available as well.
The Closed-V is designed for the transportation of dry materials such as wood chip – bark, grain, sand, small rubble, packaged goods and baggage handling on small inclines. The cleat widths are either full width or narrowed to incorporate skirting rubber, which we are able to trim to your preferred width. There are also a number of cleat pitch and belt width variants available as well.
Non Standard Bull Horn U-Shaped Belting
ASC are able to supply the Open and Closed U-Shaped Bull Horn cleated belting. The Closed Bullhorn is particularly helpful to support the return belt as the extra vertical strutted cleat prevents the belt from sagging. The cleat widths are either full width or narrowed to incorporate skirting rubber, which we are able to trim to your preferred width. There are also a number of cleat pitch and belt width variants available as well.
There are 2 variants that affect the profile functionality; the inclination angle and the materials being conveyed. These profiles are designed to prevent or reduce slide back and increase the amount of product moved quickly at the point of loading.
